Ensure that all regular and VIP guests receive high-quality, personalized service, an Engaging, Dynamic Guest Experience, and the upkeep of our guest recognition program under the general guidance of the Front Office Manager and/or Assistant Front Office Manager. Perform all duties connected to arriving and in-house guests.

Job Duties and Summary:

  • Greet, assist, and register guests in a proactive manner.
  • Keep guests up-to-date about the hotel, its amenities, the city, and the latest “happenings” in the area.
  • Verify that every request is handled with precision and that the right level of service, attention, and follow-up is provided.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to various categories of guests, including those with confirmed or claimed reservations, walk-ins, VIPs, groups, etc.
  • Use the standard operating process to follow up on all guests’ arrivals, modifications to their registration cards, special requests, rate changes, room changes, inquiries about their accounts, and reservations.
  • Respond to any requests, incidents, or thefts involving guests as soon as possible (but no later than 20 minutes) and document the details in the hotel’s official log.
  • Keep the guest handover book up-to-date and in accordance with Fairmont confidentiality standards; communicate any guest comments to the on-duty manager for necessary action; protect the privacy of guests; and make sure that no private information about guests is released.
  • Maintain adequate supplies for the front desk, keep track of inventory levels, and place supply orders in accordance with established policy and procedure
  • Follow the hotel’s credit policy about payments made with various methods such as cash, credit cards, account to company, vouchers, third parties, foreign currency, etc.
  • Inspire upselling as a means to optimize rates
  • Always keep the work environment clean and well-maintained.

Minimum Requirements/About the Applicant

  • Written and spoken English proficiency required; fluency in a second language is a plus.
  • Having worked as a receptionist or in the front desk of a well-known UAE hotel before and being proficient with Opera or a similar system
  • Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Extremely trustworthy and conscientious.
  • Capable of maintaining focus and productivity in a high-pressure setting
