Salary Building Maintenance Technician job:
- CAD 15-25 per hour
Job Duties and Summary:
- Always be well-versed in the ins and outs of the property’s many mechanical systems (including but not limited to pumps, life safety equipment, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and swimming pools).
- Carry out regular, preventative, emergency, and scheduled upkeep as indicated.

- Full pre-stay preparations
- Perform routine checks on your tools and cleaning supplies.
- Take care of garbage and recyclables
- To pick up trash, sweep, shovel, pressure wash, and do other cleaning activities as assigned.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the property, grounds, and empty units to the specifications set out by
- Maintain correct and up-to-date maintenance records, files, and paperwork in compliance with established protocols.
- Keep a supply of replacement parts and repair materials on hand, and conduct periodic stocktakes. Coordinate the ordering of supplies with the Maintenance Manager or Community Manager as required to keep the property running smoothly.
- Do not neglect records or routine safety inspections.
- Carry out further tasks as needed
Minimum Requirements/About the Applicant
- Preferred level of experience is two years in the field.
- Completed high school curriculum plus further training or certification
- Work Order App and Yardi Voyager experience is a plus.
- Experience with modern mobile devices and applications
- Ability to respond to emergencies and serve on call as needed
- Consciousness of the importance of health and safety in the workplace
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills for interacting with coworkers and superiors
- Excellent skills in establishing and maintaining positive connections with all members of the organization, including residents, customers, and vendors.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office at a beginner’s level
