Job Duties and Summary:

• Contribute to the Council’s trash landfilling operations by performing a variety of waste collection, acceptance, and recycling tasks, allowing for the diversion of reusable or recyclable products from the landfill.
• Recycle materials in a number of different ways, including by hand, with mobile plant, and utilizing high-tech, permanently installed plant and sorting equipment.
• Carry out tasks in a variety of operational areas, including the collection of garden organics and bulky waste, the Buy-Back Centre, the Weighbridge, and the Gatehouse, to name a few.
• Use construction equipment and large machinery in your work.
• Collaborate with other team members to accomplish waste management objectives set by Council.

Minimum Requirements/About the Applicant

• Proven teamwork skills High quality output while working alone Knowledge of basic computer functions
• Agreement to complete all training and educational prerequisites
• Exhibit a hunger for information and a desire to expand your abilities.
• Constant dedication to quality assurance, risk reduction, and quality enhancement

• Manual Driver’s License (provisional licenses accepted) issued to an Australian citizen or permanent resident
