Job Duties and Summary:

  • Makes plans, delegate tasks, monitors progress, and organizes efforts.
  • To get permission from property owners to do work on their land, such as tree trimming or removal.
  • Sets up access, notifies customer or owner of property, describes work to be done, etc. with such
  • customer or owner.
  • Fosters and sustains positive relationships with clients and the general public by punctual
  • completion of tasks and professional conduct by crew members.
  • Works with consumers, law enforcement, and emergency personnel to prevent blocking roads or
  • driveways.
  • Protects workers and bystanders from potential dangers in the workplace.
  • Puts up safety measures like barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc.
  • Clearing and cutting trees and brush away from utility lines while adhering to safe practices and
  • laws is your responsibility.
  • Uses and maintains a wide variety of power tools and machinery, including those that run on
  • gasoline or hydraulic fluid, such as saws, winches, buckets, chippers, and sprayers.
  • Uses a bucket truck to clear vegetation from around power wires.
  • Functions as a tree surgeon and a rescuer.
  • uses axes, hand-lines, saws, block and tackle, pruners, and other hand tools.
  • Takes care of the mess and throws away the trash.
  • Applying herbicides correctly and selectively to brush and stumps with a sprayer.
  • Educates incoming workers.

Minimum Requirements/About the Applicant

  • Age requirement is at least 18 years old.
  • The risk of electricity shock must be understood.
  • Quite proficient at recognizing and naming various tree and shrub varieties.
  • Physical stamina, flexibility, the ability to lift light objects, and hand-eye coordination are required
