The Receiving Checker’s job is to verify deliveries and make notes about them. In addition to receiving and processing orders, the incumbent will be responsible for unloading goods and verifying their contents.

Job Duties and Summary:

• Work along with the crew to determine the anticipated shipping dates.
• Sign for deliveries and acknowledge receipt of packages.
• Clear the approaching trucks of their cargo.
• Verify the integrity of the contents by inspecting them.
• Verify packages according to order and invoices (number, quality and price).
• It is imperative that delivery invoices are signed and paid on time.
• Help keep tabs on stock and keep records in order.
• Follow all local, state, and federal health and safety standards.
