Job Duties and Summary:

• Provides a warm greeting to patrons as they enter a bar, cafe, or restaurant.
• Provides an overview of the food offerings and highlights any seasonal or daily specials
• Writes down, types onto a tablet, or mentally stores food and drink orders from customers.
• Provides kitchen personnel with customer orders so they can begin cooking
• Makes and serves drinks to patrons.
• Serves customers by retrieving their orders from the kitchen, checking them for accuracy, and then delivering them to their tables.
• Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction by checking in to see how their meals are going and taking additional course orders as needed.
• Empties trash and washes dishes, glasses, and flatware Prepares and delivers clients’ checks
• Accepts cash, checks, and credit card payments, and gives consumers their change if applicable.
• Places orders for food and refills condiments at tables.
• keeps current on restaurant offerings, promotions, and information
• Attends daily or periodic meetings with management to discuss new offerings, forthcoming reservations, and special requests from patrons.

Minimum Requirements/About the Applicant

• Proven track record of success in a similar role
• Working knowledge of cash register and order processing software
• Care and tolerance for clients are essential qualities.
• Superb abilities in public speaking
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks at once Active listening and clear, concise expression of ideas
