Operating and maintaining the generator and auxiliary plant in accordance with all applicable regulations, health and safety policies, and resource consent standards will be your primary responsibility as an Operator Maintainer.

Job Duties and Summary:

• Reporting on the plant conditions, remedying problems, managing audit and operating paperwork.
• Manage work packages, perform site inspections and improvements, and complete assigned preventative and defect maintenance to aid in the execution of the asset management plan.
• Make full use of the computerized maintenance management system to record all plant knowledge by accurately recording the time spent on jobs, the acquisition of equipment and materials, and the detailed reporting of failures and faults.
• Procedures, Project Management Work Orders, Job Plans, technical specifications, drawings, and all other data pertaining to maintenance should be kept current.
• Regularly check, record, and report on the state of the plant as well as any problems found.

Minimum Requirements/About the Applicant

• Between three and five years of experience working as a maintenance technician in an engineering or heavy mechanical setting
• Competence in identifying and fixing problems
• Requirements: Mechanical Trade Certificate or relevant work experience
• Certificate of driver’s eligibility
• Day and shift work are both part of the job description, so you’ll need to be flexible with your availability.
