Salary Cargo Safety Officer job:

• QAR15-25 per hour

Job Duties and Summary:

• To increase staff understanding of health and safety issues, design and create communication materials and brief trainings.
• Assist with gathering event and accident details for use in investigations, communicating with higher-ups as necessary, and coordinating responses with other relevant organizations and authorities.
• Look at accidents and occurrences to find out where safety is lacking and then propose solutions to fix it.
• Coordinate with other departments to lead or assist in implementing corrective actions.
• To keep risks to a minimum, make sure that all employees and contractors are following the safety policies and procedures set out by QR and QAS.
• Assist in prioritizing risk management by analyzing data on accidents and violations and preparing and disseminating statistics.
• Look for potential dangers and ways to make things better by analyzing operational tasks.
• Improve the safety management system or increase the level of control over risks in the organization by proposing new processes or amending current ones.
• Carry out company-mandated documented risk assessments in accordance with QR/QAS safety management system protocols.
• Assist the company and take part in departmental activities related to safety international standard certification and re-certification.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the department head.

Minimum Requirements/About the Applicant

• Requirements: a high school diploma, vocational certificate, or equivalent (role-specific diploma types may be required) and at least four years of relevant work experience.
• Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Its Equivalent plus three years of relevant work experience
  English proficiency
• Skilled in using a variety of computer programs, including Microsoft Office.
• Organize and plan activities independently.
• Capacity to articulate and present one’s own views and arguments.
• Works well with others.
• Various approaches to the investigation (5 Why, root cause tree analysis, etc.)
• Supervisorial abilities — Capacity to assign tasks, establish objectives, and oversee the execution of tasks. Excellent abilities in coaching and mentoring. Capability to mentor and guide subordinates in honing their craft. Capacity to encourage
