Job Duties and Summary:

• In charge of managing classroom interactions and creating and sustaining an environment that promotes learning through various delivery methods.
• Assist the CoE and the University of Arizona with their service obligations by serving on committees and mentoring students, particularly those from marginalized communities.
• Engage with local communities (including government units, businesses, nonprofit groups, and area residents) in a way that supports CoE and the development of the University of Arizona.
• Contribute to the brainstorming of fresh ideas for boosting diversity, involving more students, and forming stronger partnerships with local organizations and businesses.
• Take part in student mentoring and advising.
• Keep consistent in-person and online office hoursand/or be accessible for appointments with students.
• Take part in sanctioned initiatives that increase the CoE’s, university’s, and field’s expertise in pedagogical practices for their respective subject areas.
• As the Graduate College permits, serve on research committees for undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral programs, and provide research advice to students.
• Additional tasks might be given to you.

Minimum Requirements/About the Applicant

• Must hold a doctorate in computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering, computer engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related field when hired.
• Will be requested to present academic qualifications when discussing the offer.
• Appointment at the Assistant Rank does not necessitate any experience beyond that of a Ph.D.
• Appointment at the Associate Rank requires four years of experience beyond the Ph.D.
