- QAR 15-25 per hour
Job Duties and Summary:
- Responsible for carrying out and organizing all post-award administrative tasks, such as contract submittals and correspondence, reporting, preparing and processing variation orders, claims, and closing out;
- Drafts Invitation to Tender packages for contracts for oil and gas projects.
- Risk management efforts are supported and coordinated.
- Participates in the establishment of contract terms and conditions as part of a project team comprised of engineers from various fields and management personnel;
- Manages assigned contracts to make sure they’re being followed. Maintains communication with the Contracts Manager during the project’s execution phase to discuss any changes to the project’s scope or financial or contract risk aspects;
- Keep accurate and up-to-date paper and electronic records – guarantees necessary documentation for negotiating change orders is created and kept; Proactively manages project changes, variations, and claims by coordinating and collecting relevant data.
- Strong writing and editing skills; clients will rely on you to produce the approvals, notices, and interpretations they need to follow the terms of the contract.
- Creates acceptance paperwork for a project or a facility and gets the appropriate signatures;
- Recognizes issues with contracts and takes corrective measures to have them fixed. Maintains contact with management regarding issues that require it, in order to provide a prompt resolution for the customer; and
Minimum Requirements/About the Applicant
- A bachelor’s degree required
- a master’s degree preferred. A background in business administration, English, or law is also helpful.
- Possessing a Certified or Chartered (MRICS) status or an equivalent professional qualification desired but not required.
- Expertise in Commercial Contract Law and Contract Terms & Conditions;
- Strong knowledge and hands-on expertise with procurement and contract administration processes and principles, from developing and issuing bidder lists and contracting plans to putting together bid invitation packages.
- Experience in the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf is a plus, but not required, as is a firm knowledge of procedural standards and the importance of providing an Audit Trail for Management purposes.
