Job Duties and Summary:

• In every role at GIANT/MARTIN’S, providing excellent customer service is a must. Consumers, coworkers, vendors, and business associates are all examples of the types of clients that each job serves.
• Takes in goods, sorts them, boils them, slices them, weighs them, labels them, and finally puts them in a package.
• The product usually weighs less than 30 lbs., therefore it is important to keep it in the right conditions on the shelves, in the case, and in the display case, which includes cleaning, straightening, and rotating it.
• Code, rotate, sort, and clean product cases that weigh more than 20 lbs. (and sometimes up to 50 lbs.) on a regular basis while maintaining the correct cooler temperatures.
• Always clean and sanitize your work surfaces, utensils, and equipment in the prep area.
• Respect all applicable laws and ordinances pertaining to the deli area, whether they be federal, state, or municipal.
• Keep the sales floor clean and free of hazards by cleaning and mopping it regularly.
• Serve customers with the utmost friendliness and politeness. Competence in question-and-answer sessions, product suggestion-making, and suggestive selling is required.
• At all times, dress neatly and in accordance with business policy.
• Upon their addition to the learning page, ELM training modules must be completed.

Minimum Requirements/About the Applicant

• Make sure you notify your supervisor of any accidents and submit an incident report within 24 hours.
• In case of any injury, procure a First Aid package without delay.
• Listen carefully. Inquire further whenever uncertain.
• Notify the manager of any hazardous circumstances.
• The policy of the company must be followed by all footwear and apparel.
• No joking around here.
• This is not the place to flee.
• Lift objects using the correct methods.
• Retain all work spaces and floors clean and clutter-free.
• Always keep an eye on machinery that is in operation.
