Job Duties and Summary:

• Helps the instructor keep track of when students come and go
• Help a certified in any way you can, focusing mostly on non-instructional duties.
• Contribute to the success of the program or activities by aiding the instructor and the pupils.
• Keep order in the classroom when the teacher is absent.
• Assist with keeping the classroom tidy and organized.
• Assist with daily student supervision in and out of the classroom, including in the hallways, cafeteria, auditorium, gym, and playground.
• Facilitate the teacher’s administrative record-keeping and report-writing by
• Help the teacher with student handouts by making copies, sorting, and filing documents.
• Aid in taking stock, caring for, and servicing equipment
• Don’t forget to update your teacher on any of your pupils’ unique circumstances.
• Improve one’s performance on the work by taking part in staff-development training
• Help decorate the classroom for holidays, PTA meetings, and other special occasions; attend faculty meetings and other events as required.
• Carry out additional responsibilities and tasks as required
• Consistent and prompt attendance at work is a must for this role.

Minimum Requirements/About the Applicant

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree; 48 College Credits; or Successful Completion of Academic Assessment. Certified Texas Teacher’s Aide
• It is preferable that applicants have at least six months of relevant work experience or have completed a training program designed for teaching assistants.
• initiative and the ability to follow both written and spoken directions
• Proven familiarity in child psychology and growth/development
• Help a qualified professional out by doing a variety of errands that have little to do with teaching.
