For long lengths of time, you’ll need to be able to climb, crawl, bend, stand, crouch, and stoop. This position requires a lift capacity of fifty pounds or greater.

Outside and inside, the Tractor Operator will frequently encounter filthy, dusty, and oily situations; places with inadequate lighting and ventilation; extremes of heat and cold; and places with disagreeable aromas and smells. The worker must wear protective gear because they will be working among chemicals, toxic materials, and potentially contagious diseases.

Job Duties and Summary:

• Fixing irrigation systems using a backhoe
• Fixing pavements, concrete walkways, fences, etc.
• Working with concrete forms and mixing, pouring, and polishing the material for sidewalks;
• Pesticide and fertilizer spraying;
• Utilizing heavy equipment attachments for ice, snow, and debris clearance during bad weather;
• Grasping fallen leaves, pruning plants, and digging out stumps;
• Gathering refuse and emptying bins;
• Pavement grading with gravel;
• Using and repairing various attachments for tractors and skid-steer loaders to keep roads and grounds in good repair;
• Handling equipment such as posthole diggers, aerators, impact hammers, augers, brooms, front-end loaders, dozer blades, and backhoes;
• Operating a 5-ton dump truck and loading its cargo;
• Managing the operation, cleaning, regulating, and mixing of fuel for riding, heavy walking, diesel, and gasoline mowers;
• Keeping and running various heavy machinery, such as tractors, street sweepers, utility vehicles, skid steer loader equipment, dump trucks, aerial lifts, truck forklifts, and etc.;
• Doing similar tasks as needed; excavating, backfilling, grading, and leveling dirt to approximate standards.
